Before joining JFF, Aimée worked alongside a U.S. representative in Congress, where she helped plan, create, and execute a program to advance community building and policy education. In that role, she also conducted research and collaborated with other stakeholders to create a space where the representative and her constituents are able to discuss societal problems in the district and immerse themselves in public policy planning and implementation.
Before that, she worked as an office assistant in the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid at the Syracuse College of Law.
In 2016, Aimée interned as a manager assistant in the Provider Services department at Mount Sinai Health Partners. That’s where she was introduced to the importance of ethical policies that uplift all people and influence other organizations. Aimée also has experience in data collection and data management from her work at an environmental chemistry lab at Syracuse University.
Aimée says she is thrilled to work for JFF because the organization’s mission and approach align with her personal goal to achieve social justice through data-driven policies. “Being coordinator of the Research Unit aligns with my values and allows me to do what I know while learning to do what I love, which is creating equitable change,” she says.
Aimée holds bachelor’s degrees in policy studies and sociology from Syracuse University.
Her interests include painting, listening to music, reading, traveling, and being around friends and family.
