Asia Gauler is a program administrative assistant at JFF. In that role, she focuses on supporting the Learning unit, providing assistance with logistics and project administration as needed.

Her skills and areas of expertise include:

  • Systems thinking
  • Research and writing
  • Curriculum creation

Before joining JFF, Asia gained a wealth of experience as she pursued professional opportunities in a variety of workplaces as a temporary employee searching for her ideal job. When she was a student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, she worked with the Student Sustainability Task Force to promote sustainability on campus through collaboration with clubs and members of the faculty, staff, and administration.

Asia says she was attracted to JFF “because the organization’s efforts to make systemic changes in the education system that have an ongoing impact that evolves and adapts to meet the needs of learners and the workforce is something that I want to be a part of. I really like that JFF has a holistic approach to the education system, taking into account nonacademic supports and looking to meet the needs of all students, including adult learners—because graduation doesn’t mean you stop learning.”

In her free time, Asia says, “I am a voracious reader, often reading a book a day. I also enjoy knitting.”
