Damaris Espinal is director of human resources administration at Jobs for the Future. In that role, she leads the administration of employee benefits, total rewards, and wellness services and handles compensation management, performance management, and employee relations.

Before joining JFF, Damaris was the director of human resources at a continuing care retirement community. In that role, she reported to the president/CEO, served on the senior leadership team, and provided strategic and tactical HR support to help the company meet its organizational goals and objectives. Her responsibilities included talent acquisition and retention, workforce planning and development, employee performance management, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, and regulatory compliance.

Damaris currently serves as a member of the board of directors and chair of the engagement committee for Service Access and Management Inc., a human services provider operating in more than 70 counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She also volunteers in several capacities through her local United Way.

“I was attracted to JFF’s commitment to ensuring economic advancement in communities that look like mine,” she says.

Damaris has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Professional in Human Resources certification.

“I’m an avid yogi. I love being in nature (preferably by the water) and spending a lot of time hiking and gardening,” she says. “I am a mother to a 9-year-old who loves to draw and play board games. My husband also works in talent acquisition, and we enjoy working out together and traveling.”
