Ginger Allison is a director at Jobs for the Future. Working with the Center for Apprenticeship & Work-Based Learning, she provides technical assistance to employers, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to help them develop strategies for recruiting and retaining a qualified workforce. She also focuses on promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in apprenticeships.
Before joining JFF, Ginger designed and implemented the student support program at Insight School of Oklahoma, a statewide online alternative school serving grades 6-12. There, she oversaw social and emotional learning, mental health support services, trauma-informed practices, and postsecondary planning, including career pathway development and work-based learning.
Earlier in her career, she served as the apprenticeship and work-based learning coordinator for the Oklahoma Office of Workforce Development, where she developed the Oklahoma Work-Based Learning Program structure, provided technical assistance to employers, educational institutions, and community-based organizations.
Ginger says she was drawn to JFF because the organization offers an opportunity to work with a national network of education, employer, and community partners to drive systemic change and create economic advancement opportunities for all.
Her skills and areas of expertise include:
- Program design and implementation
- Community and employer engagement
- Diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility practices
- K-12 to postsecondary transitions

- Work-based learning, including pre-apprenticeships and Registered Apprenticeships
She has a master’s degree in educational leadership and bachelor’s degree in business management, both from the University of Central Oklahoma. Additionally, she earned a Project Management Professional certification in 2021.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her partner, two stepchildren, and three dogs. She can often be found cycling, hiking, gardening, and generally enjoying time outdoors.
