Jamila Koranteng (she/her) is a senior accountant at Jobs for the Future. Working under Accounting Director Ruth Njoroge, she provides support to the finance team to help the department meet its overall goals.
Her responsibilities include processing the biweekly payroll, monitoring the organization’s regulatory compliance, preparing general journal entries, recording data associated with payroll processing, tracking accounts receivable, and working with the Development team to follow up on invoices.
Before joining JFF, Jamila was a payroll specialist at CarGurus, an online platform for buying and selling vehicles. In that role, she was responsible for payroll processing for all U.S. exempt and non-exempt employees. She also assisted in payroll processing for CarGurus in the U.K. and Ireland, and with post-payroll accounting tasks.
Jamila says she is excited to be a part of an organization that prioritizes creating career opportunities for young people entering the workforce.
