Jonathan Osei is a manager at Jobs for the Future. A member of the Workforce Transformation Team, he partners with workforce boards, American Job Centers, and innovative entrepreneurs and investors to expand the potential of workforce systems and support communities as they evolve and grow.

His skills and areas of expertise include:

  • Community and stakeholder engagement
  • Integrating racial equity and trauma-informed practices into workforce programs
  • Program development and management
  • Economic mobility
  • Direct service provision

Before joining JFF, Jonathan was a program associate at the National Fund for Workforce Solutions in Washington, DC. In that role, he supported and collaborated on initiatives that focused on galvanizing systems change, advancing workforce equity, addressing the digital divide, integrating trauma-informed care practices in the workplace, and increasing worker agency broadly.

He also has a good deal of advocacy, grant management, research, project coordination, and direct service experience from time he spent working at various community and national nonprofits.

Jonathan is co-chair of the associate board of Housing Up, a Washington, DC, nonprofit that develops affordable housing and provides support services to people who rely on low-income jobs and may be experiencing homelessness.

He has a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Duke University
