Liz is a senior manager of program operations at JFF. In that role, she helps redesign and reimagine program operations across the organization and is responsible for implementing critical initiatives that improve JFF’s agility, efficiency, responsiveness, and impact.

Her skills and areas of expertise include:

  • Strategic planning
  • Research and analysis to inform evidence-based decision-making
  • Change management
  • Growth strategy
  • Financial analysis
  • Systems improvement
  • Organizational effectiveness

Before joining JFF, Liz was a Boston-based nonprofit strategy consultant, a role in which she worked with organizations specializing in education, mental health, economic mobility, and advocacy to maximize their impact and solve complex problems. She helped those organizations identify their purpose and direction, develop unique stories to tell, and design aligned strategies to widen audiences, deepen connections, and expand resources.

Liz’s passion for community, nonprofit development, and education stems from her wide range of prior professional experiences, including two years she spent in Nicaragua leading service-learning trips and community development projects for young people, as well as developing and leading English classes for members of the local community.

At other points in her career, Liz served as an apprentice on a vegetable farm in New Jersey and taught Spanish and culinary arts at a Montessori school in Connecticut.

Liz dreams of everyone having access to the same educational opportunities she did. She works hard to make sure operational systems are as effective and efficient as possible so that JFF’s work reaches as many people as possible.

During her free time, Liz is often exploring new parks with her loveable, sassy dog, Toña.
