Nyema Mitchell is the vice president for Solutions Design & Delivery at Jobs for the Future. She partners with other JFF leaders to ensure that JFF programs and initiatives are managed and executed in a systematic and enabling way, leveraging organizational expertise and capabilities to enable growth, maximize impact, meet client expectations, and deliver excellence at scale. She leads efforts to identify approaches for implementing change while ensuring those approaches align with principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Since joining JFF in 2017, Nyema has worked across multiple program groups as a technical assistance provider, coach, and program lead. She managed a $16 million grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the largest single grant in their postsecondary team’s portfolio, and co-led a community of practice focused on centering racial equity in the implementation of pathways.
Before joining JFF, she was a researcher with the Center for Education Policy at SRI International, where she contributed to the design and implementation of large-scale, multi-year evaluations; conducted systematic data analysis; managed teams of researchers; wrote proposals; and built strong relationships with external partners.
Nyema has a master’s degree in public policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in education studies and public policy from Brown University.
