Sara Dawson

Senior Manager of Human Resources Administration

Sara Dawson, SHRM-SCP is the senior manager of human resources administration at Jobs for the Future. In this role, she manages and executes daily HR operations while also focusing on the design, development, and delivery of new HR initiatives.

Before joining JFF, Sara handled various human resources and finance roles at a continuing care community. During her tenure there, she drove employee engagement, improved payroll processes, and supported efforts to align the company’s core focus and values. Her responsibilities included in-house payroll processing for 350 employees and management of benefits programs and leaves.

Sara is active in her community and often volunteers to work on functions and fundraisers as a member of the Tri-County Area Chamber of Commerce in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. She is passionate about supporting causes benefitting women and children, including Boyertown Area Multi-Service’s Meals on Wheels program, In Ian’s Boots, Cradles to Crayons, and Mitzva Circle.

“My role at JFF allows me to use my talents and share my passions as a part of the team working towards economic advancement for all, which is highly rewarding,” she says. “I feel there is great level of alignment in my life due to my work at JFF.”

Sara holds an associate degree in business from Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minnesota, and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in human resources management from Capella University in Minneapolis. She also holds a Senior Certified Professional credential from the Society for Human Resource Management and a Certified Payroll Professional credential from the American Payroll Institute.

Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with her husband and five children and their assortment of furry family members. She also enjoys gardening, DIY projects, and hiking.
