Jobs for the Future applauds Senators Coons, Warner, Portman, and others who have worked to include critical language in the “Every Child Achieves Act of 2015” to encourage the development and implementation of early college high school and dual enrollment programs in the nation’s K-12 system. These programs, which combine high school and college in rigorous, yet supportive environments, show significant promise for increasing the number of students, particularly from traditionally underserved backgrounds, who complete high school, go on to college, and achieve postsecondary credentials and degrees.
