JFF partner SAP signs White House Tech Inclusion Pledge

Jobs for the Future's partner SAP, a global leader in entreprise software, signed the White House Tech Inclusion Pledge during the 7th annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit at Stanford University, which is happening from June 22-24th. The pledge signifies companies' commitment to fostering greater diversity within the technology sector. According to the White House, only 3% of America's venture-backed start-ups are led by women and just an estimated 1% are led by African-Americans. Read the full White House press release here.

JFF's Pathways to Prosperity initiative partners with SAP, along with Charlestown High School and Bunker Hill Community College in Massachusetts, to implement an innovative information technology (IT) career pathway. This pathway enables high schools students to earn college credits while working toward an industry-recognized IT degree. Sudents are also exposed to IT careers, and have access to mentors and work-based learning activities. Read SAP's press release here.
