Recently, Delaware Governor Markell praised the state's Pathways to Prosperity program, which is part of JFF's Pathways to Prosperity Network. The Network is a collaboration between JFF, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and states and regions across the country. Established in 2012, the initiative partners with school districts, postsecondary institutions, and employers to create career pathways that enable more youth to complete high school, attain postsecondary credentials with currency in the labor market, and launch careers while leaving open the prospect of further education. Gov. Markell sees success in Pathways to Prosperity program

Gov. Jack Markell is touting the success of the state’s Pathways to Prosperity program in his weekly address. The program brings together employers, school districts, and local colleges to offer high school students hands-on, real-world training that leads them to professional certifications—or preps them for further education in their field. Pathways to Prosperity started two years ago with a manufacturing pathway and Markell says the first results can be seen this spring.
