Making Change Manageable Webinar on Thursday, January 8th

These are phrases we hear in our organizations all the time. Each reflects how we react to new ideas and new processes – some more positively than others. All of us are working to implement some kind of new product, process, or program; however, some of these changes are implemented more successfully than others.

Participants will:

  • Understand the systems and structures needed to implement and sustain change.
  • Hear how the Massachusetts Transformation Agenda implemented change across the state’s community colleges.
  • Explore how principals of change management can be applied to your organization.

We will hear from Dale Allen, Ph.D, the leader of the Massachusetts Community Colleges and Workforce Development Transformation Agenda (MCCWDTA)—a coordinated effort among the Commonwealth’s fifteen community colleges to assist trade impacted and other eligible residents of the Commonwealth to attain degrees, certificates, and industry-recognized credentials in two years or less. Through MCCWDTA, the community colleges in Massachusetts had to fundamentally change how they worked with each other and with agencies of the workforce development system, government leaders and private sector employers. Dr. Allen will share which strategies were most effective in trying to implement and sustain change.
