“What [a study from CompTIA] found was that, roughly speaking, that people who earned the certification—they were hired at the same rate as people who didn’t. So the door was open to them in the same way. But the people who had the certification, they were promoted and their wages went up much faster than the people who’d only gone through the community college program.”
