This self-paced course contains eight 20-minute modules and is ideal for mentors in Registered Apprenticeship. The course defines effective mentoring, and instructs on how to integrate the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) framework into your mentorship practice.

Course Overview

This course, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility in Mentorship for Registered Apprenticeship, is meant to assist you in incorporating a DEIA lens into your mentorship practice. Each module highlights an important aspect of mentorship and how to put DEIA principles into your practice.

Why is this Course Important

This course addresses systemic and structural barriers to equitable economic opportunity by providing you with a clear structure on how to make equity part of your mentorship practice.

Who Should Take this Course

  • This course is for mentors who would like to improve their mentorship skills by incorporating the DEIA framework into their practice. It may also be a good fit for mentorship training facilitators, apprenticeship program design staff, or experts in their fields who may become mentors.
